What Is a Cantarito?

Cantaritos take their name from the traditional clay vessels in which the drink is served. Originating in Jalisco, the birthplace of tequila, the drink is known for its refreshing combination of agave spirit and citrus flavors. The clay vessel is part of the experience itself, helping keep the drink cool while giving it its unmistakable character.

Inspired by one of Mexico’s most iconic tequila drinks.

Traditional cantaritos are closely associated with Jalisco and are commonly enjoyed at fairs, celebrations, and gatherings throughout Mexico. The classic drink combines tequila with fresh citrus—typically grapefruit, orange, and lime—served cold in a clay cantarito.

We took the spirit of the traditional cantarito—agave, citrus, clay, and celebration— and created a ready-to-enjoy version. No mixing, no measuring, no complicated preparation. Just chill, open, and enjoy.
